Only qualified professional should apply your extensions, always make sure you read preparation for tape extension application and it is followed prior to application.

Once your hairdresser has applied your new hair, do not shampoo your hair for 48 hours after application. This will allow enough time for your tapes to settle and ensure that your extensions will bond correctly.

It is important to always use high quality sulphate free hydrating shampoo, conditioner (never apply conditioner to the roots) and nourishing after care products.

We recommend Juuce Silk Hydrate Shampoo & Conditioner – it is fabulous for natural hair and extensions. You can buy here in our accessories.

As natural hair is weaker when wet always blast dry tape area on medium heat. Always dry hair on medium heat never high heat. Do not use heat irons anywhere near the tape bonds, as this will cause the glue to melt.

You should return to your salon two weeks after extensions have been applied for a check-up appointment.

Extensions should usually be dried and styled but if allowing to dry naturally the root area of the hair should be blast dried on cool to medium heat.

Yes, no problem at all, style your extensions as you would your own hair, taking care not to be too heavy handed, and always use a heat protectant such as Queen Bee Thermoshine or Juuce Heat Shield to prevent drying out. Just as your own hair would become heat damaged if you used heated tools too often, so will your extensions, so keep it to a minimum and never use heat over 180 degrees.

It is normal to occasionally lose a few extensions between maintenance sessions, these can easily and quickly be reapplied by your stylist. It is a good idea for you to keep some spare re-tape tabs for your stylist to use if this happens.

Just Bee Long have a full range of colours. There should be no need to colour them. If however you choose to colour your tape hair extensions please do a strand test and colour extensions when removed never colour extensions while attached to the head.
DO NOT USE BLEACH. Only 3% developer may be used.
Colours may contain ingredients that will compromise the bonds. Peroxide causes the bonds to break down. If you are colouring hair extensions do not get any colour or water near the tape as this will compromise their adhesion. If colour or water comes into contact with tapes please re-tape to avoid slipping.

If you wish to tone your tape in hair extensions always do a strand test and tone before application. If you wish to use a toning shampoo please dilute and only use from mid lengths to ends.

Queen Bee Hair will not accept responsibility for unwanted results of your colouring or toning process and DO NOT offer any refunds or exchanges in such circumstances.

Never attempt to remove your Tape in Extensions yourself. It must be done by a qualified professional. Use Queen Bee Remover for best results.

Tape hair extensions should be removed or pushed-up after 4-6 weeks. It is not recommended to leave in for any longer. If left in for longer periods the hair will become unsteady, the hair extensions will begin to swing and cause unnecessary stress on the root area. Always book your maintenance appointment for push-ups.
